Vibe Coding on the Phone
After spending more than two weeks in the mountains, I desperately wanted to code/write a bit. Just some light work on my websites. But I only had my phone. No laptop.
Turns out you can do a lot with just a phone.
A few prompts to a coding agent and I fixed some minor UI issues. Using GitHub I also managed to start writing my trip report. Sure, this is just a .md file. But the GitHub editor is quite nice — even on a phone. I could easily create new files, branch out, create PRs, and more.
I have no idea where AI is heading (nobody does). But I do know the tools we have today are quite amazing. Many of these tools aren’t even AI related: GitHub for my source code, Vercel and Cloudflare for building and hosting my websites.
This isn’t some major breakthrough that will completely change the way I work (yet). For anything serious I still want my keyboard. But it is still quite amazing how far technology has come.
I’m writing this blog post on my laptop at home. But I’m still fascinated by what I can now do with just a phone and an internet connection. What a time to be alive!
