Fix Yourself First: Be a Good Role Model

Here’s another reason why you should fix yourself first:

So that you can be a good role model.

Show, don’t tell.

It’s a bit naive to think you would be able to affect change in the world if you are not able to affect change in yourself.

But if you are able to work on yourself, people will notice.

Think we are destroying our planet with our consumption? Start by showing it is possible to live a wonderful life with less.

Think we are getting weaker? Start by showing how wonderful it is to be strong.

Think we are getting dumber? Read, write, work deeply.

Think we are becoming drones living in an office? … you get the idea.

Be a good role model and you can affect change in this world.
